Young ODs of Rhode Island (YORI)
YORI, the young OD networking arm of the RIOA, seeks to provide opportunities for younger practitioners to connect and network, collectively sharing and embracing present issues facing young OD's and our shared profession. YORI is a great vehicle to start getting involved in the RIOA. Together we can build on the successes of the past, protect what we have and accomplish great things.

YORI leaders, at the urging of the RIOA Board of Directors, will host an Optometry Summit in the first quarter of 2023 to discuss specifically the future of our profession. We will cover a wide array of issues and ask central questions.
If you are an optometrist licensed in Rhode Island, this meeting is for you.
Are you satisfied with the state's current Scope of Practice? Are there 3rd Party issues you would like to see addressed? What advocacy efforts are you looking to see pursued? Are you willing to join your colleagues and work for them?
As a state regulated eye care provider, you have a vested interest in asking these questions and helping to answer them. Your engagement is paramount to our collective success! Please make your attendance a priority.
All Rhode Island optometrists are invited and strongly encouraged to attend and participate.
