Understanding the Legal Nuances of Keratoconus Management - This course will review the legal implications involved in mismanaging patients with keratoconus, including failing to diagnosis, failing to refer and improper treatment (unapproved treatments), as well as the legal responsibilities regarding treatment referrals. (Dr. Erik Conley, 92213-EJ, 1 hour)
BREAK IN THE ACTION
Bad Eyes, Scary Things and Dirty Pictures: Common Cases in Optometry: Challenges, Treatment, Diagnosis, & Reimbursements - This course is designed to present information pertaining to common cases seen in most optometry practices including diagnosing, treating, and billing and coding. These cases will include eye diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataract, and various retinal and corneal problems. (Dr. Frances Bynum, 89272-GO, 2 hours)
BREAK IN THE ACTION
Opioids Advanced: Diving Deeper to Understand Ocular Manifestations and Overdose Management - This course will expand upon the basics of opioids to provide participants with the signs and symptoms of overdose, and actions to take if overdose is expected will be outlined. (Dr. Benjamin Young, COPE Accreditation Pending, 1 hour)
